What you're seeing in the photo is a Ninja, which is a hybrid food processor/blender. It has three sets of blades that are larger than a blender (though smaller than a full-sized food processor) which makes it a space-saving substitute for both appliances for me. It's definitely not as good as a Vitamix for blending or a RobotCoupe for food processing, but it beats out most cheaper blenders and does reasonably well up against a cuisinart, especially when you consider it costs less than $100. The construction is cheap and it won't last forever, but it's a good space-saving hybrid. That said, people have been making biscuits for far longer than food processors have existed, so you can definitely make this by hand. Just use your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture and then follow the other steps.

Above pic. also looks like a blender... I don't mean to be nosy, I'm just trying to find a million excuse not to invest in a food processor when I know it's been long over due... -_-;
Thanks.
