Thanks Fabio! I haven't tried dry-roasting bitter melon (I usually salt and blanch it to get rid of some of the bitterness). Will give it a go next time.

Thanks Marlys! I hope you enjoy these. For the light, I got an IR sensor, 24V 2 amp DC power supply and aluminum profile off of Aliexpress, and then used LED ribbon lighting from Waveform Lighting. Then it's just a matter of cutting the ribbon to fit in the channel, soldering everything together, and cutting a hole in the acrylic diffuser for the sensor to peak out of. I was inspired by a small light panel at Ikea they were selling for $80. This is at least twice as bright, the color accuracy is better and it cost me about $50 in parts.

Great idea! I just learned recently from Fuchsia Dunlop that a great way of preparing bitter melon (thinly sliced) is to dry roast it in a pan together with some green peppers (capsicum), so that's a similar direction....
Deep frying at home is just a hassle, so thanks for this alternative!

I like your idea of the DIY videos! How did you make the light that comes on with a wave of your hand?
Make that your first video!!
And another use for Legos—sounds intriguing!
Keep your recipes and information and instruction coming!
